These panic snaps will disconnect only when pressure is manually put on the main body of the lead snap.  The latch mechanism is separate from the actual weight carrying structure.  Often used with horse gear (connecting the lead to the halter).  These things are STRONG!

We stock the round eye and square eye versions, both for 1″ straps.

Round Eye Length: 4 3/4″ when closed
Square Eye Length: 4 5/8″ when closed
