Ligne 20 Snaps

Our Ligne 20 snaps are available in two styles to accommodate different leather thicknesses. Choose between Standard and Long depending on your project.

Each package contains 10 complete snap sets (40 pieces total):

• 10 caps

• 10 sockets

• 10 studs

• 10 posts

Standard Snaps – Recommended for 4–5 oz Leather

Our standard snaps feature a high-platform stud, making them ideal for thinner leather and lightweight projects.

• Post length: 6 mm, including base

• Cap post length: approximately 5.5–6 mm, including cap

• Recommended leather thickness: 4–5 oz (1.6–2 mm)

Long Snaps – Recommended for 5–6 oz Leather

Our long snaps feature a low-platform stud, allowing more of the post to extend through the material for setting. This makes them better suited to thicker leather.

• Post length: 6 mm, including base

• Cap post length: 6.5 mm, including cap

• Recommended leather thickness: 5–6 oz (2–2.4 mm)

• Available in nickel and brass only.

Choosing the Right Snap

Always consider the combined thickness of your leather. If you’re attaching a snap through multiple layers, add their thicknesses together when selecting your snaps.

Working with thicker leather? Consider upgrading to our Ligne 24 snaps, which accommodate up to 7–8 oz (2.8–3.2 mm) of leather, whether that’s a single thickness or multiple layers combined.

Please note: Recommended thicknesses are approximate. Leather density, compression and the number of layers can affect how well a snap sets. We recommend testing on a scrap of your project leather before installation.
