Tools & Materials

Leather – Vegetable-tanned, 3–4 oz, approx. 1–1.25 sq. ft. needed (works very well with our Torino vegetable-tanned leather)

Tools
• Edge beveler (fine, for pocket edges)
• Edge beveler (medium, for exterior edges once assembled)
• Precision cutting knife (or knife of choice to cut out pattern)
• French edger (for skiving edges)
• Scratch awl (for tracing the pattern)
• Corner chisel (optional, 5–10 mm corner)
• Contact cement
• Stitching chisels (we recommend 3 mm or 4 mm)
• Hand-stitching thread (0.030″ or 0.75 mm braided waxed polyester)
• Harness needles (Size 2, 1, or 0)
• Burnishing tools (Gum Tragacanth, Fiebing’s Edge Kote, or Tokonole, and a wood burnisher or heavy canvas)
